Hey there, I am Alex Freund - I create "Real Fake Art," a concept blending positive nihilism with subversive intent to challenge creative boundaries. With a background in psychology and over a decade of creative practice, my art focuses on the human experience, using subtle shifts in perception to inspire fresh understanding. At its core, my practice is a dialogue—a space where visual aesthetics meet conceptual depth to spark introspection.

Inspired by the mundane and the surreal, I embrace subtlety and complexity, balancing absurdity with authenticity. By exploring humor, surrealism, and the absurd as tools of resistance, I aim to question systems that undervalue creativity’s transformative power. Through this lens, art becomes a vessel for connection—a collaborative exchange between creator and audience. By blurring the lines between what’s real and imagined, I seek to disrupt complacency and celebrate creativity in the unexpected.

Currently, I am proudly showcasing Detour Wichita, a passion-project turned year-long exhibition, at CityArts in Downtown Wichita through the end of 2025. I am always looking to collaborate with musicians, venues, small businesses, and fellow creatives.
